The Rise of British Manufacturing at the Lingerie Collective AW 2011!

Belinda Robertston

Fred and Ginger

Nikki Noo

Mint Siren

Although there were loads more these had to be  my favourites!
I mean  check out the cashmere socks manufactured and woven  in Scotland  that come in a variety of colours and styles, short  and ribbed or  plain and over the knee., also they're fabulously gift boxed and  priced  start at £50 from http://www.belindarobertson.co.uk/ for AW2011.

Victoria Holt the designer behind Fred&Ginger one of my favourite designers versed in the art of elegant seduction has created the most romantic of all collections based on the Ballet Russes,  soft Pinks and Champagnes. A symphony of silk lame chiffon that glistens in its barely there hue .... bras , briefs and shifts are all given her special magic potion for the AW2011.

Nikki Noo`s very simple full and half slips are just a real steal  starting at £50 they are just about the only thing around for this kind of garment...plus also can conceivably double as a summer shift dress on the beach with flats!

Mint Siren by Josefine Wing is a stylists dream inspired by the 70s Peace and Love movement  uses a light neutral colour for SS11 and the whole back to nature theme. Particularly loving the Love Poncho and Bikini briefs  Not forgetting her popular leather strap accessories!

All these terribly talented designers are made in the UK. Now who said that manufacturing in the UK was
dead ..............definitely not in lingerie my darlings !!
